James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor claims that a groomer taped Jujur’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.
Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Jujur's feet were visible red and damaged, with toenails that were too close to paws. This likely triggered Jujur biting.
Puppy Lux mobile pet salon employed the groomer in question.
James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.
James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr is animal abuse events a Puppy Lux customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.
In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Puppy Lux wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."
When contacted by Fox, Puppy Lux answered the phone but promptly handed it over to a woman who stated they were investigating the allegations. However, when questioned about Puppy Lux, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
